About Me

I am an Associate Engineer in the System Integration department at Electrical Consultants, Inc., where I specialize in delivering SCADA integration projects for renewable substations and electrical utility clients. My work spans the full project lifecycle—from initial concept through commissioning—and includes project engineering, points list development, RTU programming, HMI development, and field commissioning.

My experience also includes detailed substation design for renewable energy projects. In this capacity, I have been responsible for equipment selection; development of one-line and three-line diagrams; design of AC and DC control schematics; creation of substation wiring drawings; and performing QA/QC reviews for substations and switchyards.

Previously, I served as Team Lead for the Custom Products department at Bently Nevada, where I led a team of 16 engineers responsible for developing software and hardware modifications to standard products, as well as engineering solutions for non-standard customer requirements. This role provided valuable experience working with international and cross-functional teams, along with hands-on management experience leading a multidisciplinary engineering group. As an engineer at Bently Nevada, I gained expertise in rotating machinery protection, condition monitoring techniques, industrial lifecycle design, and hazardous location classifications. Additional roles further expanded my experience working with contract manufacturers and external development partners.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Montana State University–Bozeman prior to joining Baker Hughes, a GE company. In 2009, I co-founded Stonefly Studio as a family venture with my father, and in 2013 helped incorporate the business. Today, Stonefly Studio is a thriving company with international sales.

Outside of work, I enjoy taking advantage of everything Montana has to offer. My interests include fishing, camping, hiking, and exploring the open road on my 2015 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500.
